Sotavento Hotel & Yacht Club - Cancun

We had a really great trip with great affordable breakfast. The location was magnificent for traveling around Cancun, close to the restaurant from 4pm in the afternoon, Cancun downtown and local bars & restaurants. There was Fontina, max 5 mins walk to, liked their meals. The hotel was cute little and very peaceful, we would recommend.

the best location; professional and very friendly staff. nearby sirenas raw bar - great place to chill out. the rooms bright and brand-new with air conditioning as well as beds thrown in.

No wifi.

Yes several,My phone in my room did not work and I told front desk and they did nothing. I got messages from someone and the front desk didnt deliver them. The breakfast was poor ,they hurried you for breakfast,the room isnt as it looks on the internet and the pool too. Very disappointed.

Peaceful, friendly hotel, close to the city and public transport. Excellent choice if you want to avoid the glitz of the hotel zone.

Room lacked a refrigerator.

Cannot beat the price. Can take the bus from the hotel anywhere in the Cancun area. It is located just across the street from the hourly shuttle to Isla Mujeres.

There is no beach here. You can take the bus to the beach.

Good price. Included continental breakfast but you have to ask for it and get a ticket. People were helpful if you asked.

Room was clean but smelled very musty. Checked the linens, etc and everything and clean.

This hotel offers clean simpel rooms and a decent restaurant. It's located right next to the marina and it is close to all the sights in Cancun. If you want a calm and decent hotel this is the one.

The wifi was broken during 2 days but no other negative points apply.

The room was good-sized and brand-new with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, iron and ironing board, and a work desk.

Very quick check-in, generally decent service. Large room, tiled bathroom. Affordable breakfast with marmelade and toast, as for instance, incredibly nice personnel. Excellent and wonderful location in Cancun, close enough to a rain forest and the beach across the road and close to the bus stop to central Cancun and Puerto Aventuras.

I enjoyed my stay over 3 nights. The staff was helpful, especially with tour bookings. The location was great, just a short walk to transport options. Breakfast was tasty and freshly made. The air conditioning was effective, and the rooms were clean.

Comfortable room, clean accommodations, with essential amenities like free Wi-Fi in public areas and an outdoor swimming pool for relaxation after a day of exploring, all while being just a quick walk to the beach.

We stayed 10 days and they Sota Vento billed my Visa for 11 days. One day was billed to Visa on booking and an additional 10 days when we checked in. Although advised of the error and given over a week to rectify the error as of this date (March 16th) my Visa has not been credited for the extra billing.
